How to send cattle movements, births & deaths to ScotEID & ScotMoves using MyFarmWorks


If you're a livestock farmer in Scotland, keeping your cattle records up to date with ScotEID and ScotMoves is essential for compliance.


With the MyFarmWorks app, you can quickly send movements, births, and deaths directly from your phone, saving time, reducing paperwork and improving herd management.

Step-by-Step: How to Send Records


1. Open the MyFarmWorks App

Open your MyFarmWorks app. Any outstanding movements, births, or deaths will appear on your dashboard.

 

2. Access ScotMoves Plus

Tap Setup, then select ScotMoves Plus.

 

3. Log In

Enter your ScotEID / ScotMoves username and password.

Once logged in, you’ll see all outstanding:

  • Movements

  • Births

  • Deaths

 

4. Review Your Records

Each record displays key information including:

  • Animal ID

  • Date

  • Status

  • Time remaining to submit

For movements, you can also filter by type (e.g. external or non-notifiable).

 

5. Select Records to Send

You can:

  • Tap Select All to send everything at once

  • Or manually select individual records

 

6. Submit to ScotEID / ScotMoves

Tap Send All Movements to submit your selected records.

  • Market movements can be set aside if needed

  • You can re-queue records later if required

  • Always check pending submissions regularly to stay compliant
